RTCA Council Visits

Oaklawn Race Park

Dr. Torres at commissioning service for new installed Chaplain Rick Mann and the council at the Chapel at Oaklawn Race Park.

Edward looking at the council very seriously it seems as he gives a devotion on "The Society that Changed the World" and as he had done at the new council at Will Rodgers, charged the council with changing the racetracks and horsefarms and training centers of Arkansas for the Lord!

Following the devotion on the "Society that changed the World" the Arkansas Council Members each signed the Council Commitment Covenant and their intent to serve to the best of their abilities and to support the chaplaincy and the chaplain and represent Christ in the Arkansas horse racing community!

Everyone is all smiles after Chaplain Rick Mann signed the Chaplains Code of Ethics following the reading of the commitment out loud to the council on a point by point basis and what it means. Dr. Torres then had the council gather in a circle around Chaplain Rick where he was annointed and prayed over and officially commissioned by the RTCA to serve the Race Track Chaplaincy of Arkansas.

I enjoyed being a part of the regrowth and renewal of the RTC-Arkansas. They are a wonderful group of believers from all aspects of the racing industry and from the church community that make up the council. The chapel is a gorgeous multi-use facility and Chaplain Rick thinks somehow he has died and is already in Paradise! Continue to pray for the council and lift up Chaplain Rick and pray that his wife and his dog- Shadow will be able to sell the house back at Charlestown and be with him soon. Also lift up the council at Charlestown where Chaplain Pete Crisswell is serving as an interim chaplain as they make a transition from Chaplain Rick and look forward to seeing who the lord is sending to Charlestown.

Blessings to all!
