Past Winners

Louis Pomes, winner of RTCA’s 2005 White Horse Award, said he is using his $5,000 prize to rebuild fences and replant grass on his St. Bernard farm devastated during Hurricane Katrina.

While many of his neighbors have given up hope of ever rebuilding, Pomes has not. “I don’t care what anyone else does, I’m going to stay. And one day my barn will have racehorses. I don’t know when but it will happen.”
